NATIONAL is a member of three accrediting agencies: the Middle East and North Africa Association of Theological Education (MENATE), the Asia Theological Association (ATA), and the Association for Christian Theological Education in Africa (ACTEA). Currently, both MENATE and ATA have granted accreditation for the Master of Biblical Studies, Bachelor of Biblical Studies, and Associate of Biblical Studies degrees. NATIONAL is in the process of obtaining full accreditation for these degrees from ACTEA and currently holds provisional accreditation as a step toward that goal.
NATIONAL is also authorized to grant degrees by the North Carolina board of education. These degree programs of study have been declared by the appropriate state authority exempt from the requirements for licensure under provisions of North Carolina General Statutes Section (G.S.) 116-15(d) for exemption from licensure with respect to religious education.
