Seeing the Need

Many Christian leaders have spent their lives training and educating foreign nationals around the world, helping them become effective spiritual leaders in their own countries. It has long been understood that spiritual leaders need academic credentials in order to continue this effective training of their own people. Dr. Magdy Ghabbour, Dr. Clayton Nuttall, and Pastor Frankie Matthews, along with other Christian supporters, purposed to form a college to meet the needs of these national Christian leaders. They realized the many advantages of training national leaders in their own culture. In 2006 the National Theological College and Graduate School formed its own board and was incorporated in 2008.

Training Nationals is Strategic

Going to the uttermost parts of the earth is a matter of obedience to Christ and is non-negotiable.  Praying that the Lord of the harvest will send more laborers is as vital today as ever.

Yet, the challenge in today’s world is to meet:

  • Financial and staff needs of current ministries.
  • Demands of population growth.
  • New opportunities opening worldwide.
  • The needs of restricted access nations.

A different strategy is essential.  Paul gave Timothy a proven strategy in 2 Timothy 2:2: And the things that you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men, who will be able to teach others also.”
